How Can I Accelerate My Recovery Journey?
I only started seeing real results in my recovery when I committed to a strict Weekly Healing Schedule. The days included the usual (you know - working, sleeping, all that stuff) but the life-changing part was when I started scheduling time for what I call "Life Stabilizers".
That is because therapy created a lot of instability for me and I was unlocking so many new memories that my sense of reality was shifting (heavy stuff, I know). I felt so overwhelmed by emotions that I grew exhausted from life being SO hard all the time. I was sick of feeling broken, scared, and in pain.
So, what are these life stabilizers? It's more simple than you think - they are:
Joy
Creativity
Meditation
Exercise
Alone time
Self-love
Your Safety Kit Tools
By scheduling these stabilizers across your daily routine you create the mental support your brain craves.
How does that accelerate your healing? Well, once you have those stabilizers in place, you can direct your energy away from soothing your mental pain and towards working on your relationships, careers, sleep schedules, and healing.
If I had known that something as simple as implementing a routine could put me in control of my life, I wouldn't have wasted a moment without one. This is just one of the many things I had to learn the slow and hard way, which you don't need to because I'm sharing it with you now.

I spent hours reviewing and enhancing this schedule over 13 months and it worked perfectly for me by the end. However, like everything to do with C-PTSD, it wasn't easy.
I had to intentionally make time for myself multiple times a day to practice my schedule. That made me feel grounded enough to invest in the healthy aspects of my life (things like my degree, my career, my therapy, and my friends). All of a sudden, I was in control of my life.

Once you've created your own version, you must act on it. Commit to the schedule for 4 weeks and record how you feel at the beginning compared to the end.
